President Joko Widodo on Monday (01/07) awarded the honorary Bhayangkara Nararya Star to three Indonesian National Police officers at the ceremony commemorating the 78th Indonesian National Police Anniversary or Bhayangkara Day at Merdeka Square in National Monument, Jakarta, Monday (01/07).
The award was made based on Presidential Decree Number 59/TK of 2024 on the Award of the Honorary Star Bhayangkara Nararya, which was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on June 14, 2024.
The honorary star is awarded “in tribute to officers of the Indonesian National Police who have rendered great service with extraordinary courage, wisdom and fortitude beyond the call of duty, to the progress and development of the police, or who have been above reproach during their service in the police,” reads the presidential decree, which was read out by the president's military secretary, Major General Rudy Saladin.
The three Indonesian National Police officers who received the honorary star are:
- Police Chief Commissioner Dedi Murti Haryadi of the Indonesian National Police Leadership Personal Staff Corps;
- Deputy Police Commissioner Tati Rusmiati, of the Internal Affairs Department of the West Java Regional Police; and
- Deputy Police Inspector Dwi Kuntoro, of the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade.
Also present at the event were First Lady Iriana Jokowi, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin accompanied by Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Commander of the Indonesian Defense Forces, General Agus Subiyanto.
This event was also attended by the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, wife of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Sinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid, heads of high state institutions, as well as ambassadors of friendly countries.FID/DNS)
