'Tumse na ho payega': PM Narendra Modi calls LoP Rahul Gandhi 'balaak buddhi', says he has failed for the third time
In his speech, which was peppered with jabs at the opposition and the Congress party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called opposition leader Rahul Gandhi a “balaak buddhi” or a childish intellectual. Also, taking a line from the blockbuster film Gangs of Wasseypur, PM Modi told Gandhi: “Tumse na ho payega” (you won't make it).
In his speech, which was wide-ranging and multi-pointed, Prime Minister Modi also asserted that his government was seeking “satisfaction” (santushtikaran) rather than mere appeasement (tushtikaran), amidst incessant chants from INDIA bloc MPs.
Participating in the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address, Prime Minister Modi stressed that the nation had voted for the NDA because of its uncompromising stance against corruption. He outlined his third-term agenda, aiming to create a “developed India” by 2047, pledging to work tirelessly towards this goal round the clock.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also noted that while the nation is focused on development, the Congress remains hell-bent on creating mischief.
He alleged that the Congress party and its allies were playing a divisive strategy, speaking against the North when they were in the South and against the West when they were in the North. Modi alleged that they had tried to create religious divisions and had even supported candidates who had advocated dividing the country during the elections.
Touching on economic issues, the prime minister accused the opposition of spreading rumours to fan caste divides and trying to plunge the country into financial turmoil. He criticised the economic policies being pursued in several states, suggesting that these decisions were leading the country towards a financial crisis.
Modi also accused the opposition of undermining India's democratic system. He recalled the chaos surrounding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), accusing them of spreading false information to serve their political interests. According to Modi, this disinformation campaign was part of a larger strategy to provoke unrest and riots across the country.
