Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the government has assessed the hacking of the National Data Center (PDN) and stressed that national data should be re-registered. In a press statement after the inauguration of the South Korean battery and electric vehicle ecosystem in West Karawang Regency, West Java Province, Wednesday (03/07/2024).

Previously, President Jokowi chaired a meeting with his aides to discuss handling cyber attacks on the PDNS last Friday (28/06/2024). As a follow-up to this meeting, a ministerial-level meeting was held chaired by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto.

In his statement after the ministerial-level meeting, Hadi stressed that the creation of reserves is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every ministry, institution and regional government.
