Previously, President Jokowi chaired a meeting with his aides to discuss handling cyber attacks on the PDNS last Friday (28/06/2024).
As a follow-up to this meeting, a ministerial-level meeting was held chaired by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto.

In his statement after the ministerial-level meeting, Hadi stressed that the creation of reserves is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every ministry, institution and regional government.
This is mandatory, not optional anymore. “So if the PDNS is working operationally, there is a disruption, there is always a backup, especially at the DRC or the cold site in Batam, and it can automate the interactive service,” Hadi said some time ago.
According to him, with the obligation to record backups, each ministry, institution and local government will have backups of data and services in order to maintain continuity of service in the event of a similar incident in the future.
The government will prepare provisions for the placement of data and reserves in layers according to the level of data classification, from strategic data, limited data, to open data.
“So later there will be data of a general or open nature, like statistics, etc., which will be stored in the cloud, so that it is not full of data in the PDN,” he concluded.
