A crumbling pile of shit about to drop out of the race: that's how Donald Trump summed up Joe Biden in a secretly filmed video leaked Wednesday.

The clip, obtained by The Daily Beast, shows the 78-year-old former president sitting in a golf cart, holding a stack of cash, and with his son Barron at his side, as he offers analysis of the 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump asked an off-camera group, “How did I do in the debate the other night?” before predicting that Biden would not run for re-election.

He just resigned, you know he's dropping out of the race, Trump said. I took him out of the race and that means we have Kamala.

The White House and most Democrats maintain that Biden will remain the party's nominee, although polls suggest he has fallen six points behind Trump and that Vice President Kamala Harris could be a stronger Democratic contender in November.

I think she'll be a better opponent, Trump continued in the video, but added: “She's so bad. She's so pathetic and seemed to say, 'She's so bad.'”

Biden's campaign has denied that he will resign. Absolutely not, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said Wednesday. Several Democratic governors have repeated that phrase in their campaign to secure victory after meeting with Biden.

Trump's campaign has not commented directly on the video, but predicted on Wednesday that the Democratic Party would collapse completely following Biden's poor debate performance and growing calls for him to step down.

The Biden-Harris campaign responded to the video in a statement: “The American people have already seen Donald Trump fall one rock bottom after another,” it said, describing the video as a new low for him.

The clip was leaked hours after the Trump campaign released its first attack ads against Harris, who is the most likely candidate to replace Biden if he decides to drop out of the race.
