Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a special interaction with the Indian team at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi on Thursday, July 4. India’s star player Jasprit Bumrah shared glimpses of the meeting with PM Modi. He took to his social media account to post pictures from the special interaction. Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan, who was also the ICC anchor during the 2024 T20 World Cup, was also present. In a heartwarming gesture, Modi posed alongside Bumrah, Sanjana and their son Angad Bumrah. PM Modi held the little boy in his hands and was very playful with him as they posed for the picture together.

Virat Kohli said that it was a great honour to meet the Prime Minister and thanked him for inviting the team to his residence. Virat Kohli also shared a picture of himself shaking hands with the Prime Minister during the breakfast session. PM Modi also shared a hug with Rishabh Pant as they posed for pictures together. PM Modi posed with the entire Indian contingent for a picture in which captain Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were holding the trophy.

Prime Minister Modi hosted the world champions for breakfast at his residence upon their arrival in Delhi in the early hours of Thursday, July 4. According to India Today, Prime Minister Modi urged the team to go for a title run, expressing confidence that the T20 World Cup triumph in Barbados will give them the motivation to do well in future tournaments.
