RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday said the government was resting on its laurels, adding that it had no respect for the law or courts. He decried the lack of rule of law in the country.

He made these remarks during an interaction with reporters in the garrison town.

“We respect the judiciary. The cases against Imran Khan have not led to anything. We have always talked about institutions rather than individuals. Cases have also been registered against Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari. A judicial case is still pending against Nawaz Sharif at Cant police station,” he added.

Commenting on the recent approval of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)'s participation in the All Parties Conference (APC) by its founder chairman Imran Khan, the KP CM said his party was ready for dialogue only if its stolen mandate was returned.

Gandapur added that if former Prime Minister Khan went on a hunger strike, it would be followed by the entire nation.

He also lashed out at former KP CM Pervez Khattak saying he should not give false testimony again as it would affect his health.
