Jokowi Believes Prabowo Will Pay Attention to BPK Recommendations
Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) believes that President-elect Prabowo Subianto will pay close attention to every recommendation from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding the management of state money. This was conveyed by Jokowi when presenting a report on the results of the Central Government Financial Report Review (LHP LKPP) for the 2023 fiscal year and the summary of the results of the review for the second semester of 2023 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (8/7/2024).
“The current government and I am sure that the government of President-elect Mr. Prabowo Subianto in the future will always pay close attention to every recommendation of the BPK. So that the people’s money can be used well and managed in a transparent and accountable manner,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi said that currently Indonesia is in the transition from the government of President Joko Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to the next government with President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“In October 2024, I will be replaced by President-elect Prabowo Subianto,” President Jokowi said.
President Jokowi hopes that the BPK and all components of the nation will support this government transition so that it runs smoothly and maintains sustainability to advance the country.
Jokowi also hopes that the BPK's support will continue to improve the government ecosystem, building a government that is accountable, flexible and always results-oriented.
In order for the management of APBN-APBD to improve year by year, Jokowi asked ministers, heads of institutions and regional heads to immediately follow up and complete the recommendations of the BPK audit.
The BPK provided an unqualified opinion (WTP) on the LKPP 2023 and an overview of the audit results for the second half of 2023.
This notice is the eighth WTP notice since LKPP received it in 2016.
“The results of the BPK’s LKPP 2023 review show a reasonable opinion without exception,” said BPK Chairman Isma Yatun.
LKPP 2023 is the accounting of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) 2023 which is composed of a financial report of the State Treasurer General (LKBUN) and 84 financial reports of ministries/institutions (LKKL).
