Jokowi on plan to have office at IKN in July: Are water and electricity ready?

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opens the voice on the project of having an office in the capital of the archipelago (IKN) in July. Jokowi said that if water and electricity were ready, he would be willing to move.
“Is the water ready or not? Is the electricity ready or not? Is the place ready? If (it is) ready, move,” Jokowi said at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Monday (8/7/2024).
Jokowi received field reports regarding the readiness of water and electricity. Jokowi said that so far, water and electricity were not ready.

“We have (received the report) but it is not yet (ready),” he said.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) once said that the infrastructure development of Phase I of the National Capital Region (IKN) of the archipelago had reached 80 percent. Jokowi will take office at IKN next July.
Jokowi revealed this in a video statement uploaded to his Instagram account, Wednesday (6/05/2024). Jokowi inspected the construction of the State Palace in IKN and the land that will be used for the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on August 17.
“Today, I reviewed the readiness of the ceremonial ground that will be used to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in the Archipelago Capital Region (IKN),” Jokowi wrote.
Jokowi said that preparations for the ceremony were almost complete. Likewise, the first phase of infrastructure development. Jokowi then said that he would open an office at IKN in July.
“Preparations are almost complete, as is the progress of the first phase of construction of a number of infrastructures in IKN, which is already operating at about 80 percent. God willing, next July I will start having an office in IKN,” he said.
