Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) released the Indonesian Olympic contingent that will participate in the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris. The release took place in front of Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/10/2024) at 16:08 WIB.

“Saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim“This afternoon, I officially sent the Indonesian team to the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris in 2024,” Jokowi said.

The President told the athletes that they were selected athletes who had successfully passed strict selection. He said that on the Olympic stage, the eyes of the world, especially the Indonesian people, will be on the athletes' performances.

“The Indonesian people will look to our brothers and sisters and place great hope in our athletes,” Jokowi said.

He advised the athletes to prepare well, from physical to mental. He also hoped that the athletes will be able to win medals.

“Therefore, prepare well, prepare physically, prepare mentally, prepare to compete and of course we hope to succeed, win and go home with a medal,” Jokowi said.

He reminded the athletes to always be optimistic and compete with enthusiasm.

“I know your opponents will be among the best in the world, it will be very tough, we know that. I advise everyone to be optimistic, to compete with enthusiasm. You certainly know what you want. People want the Red and White Flag to fly. In the Olympic arena, the song Indonesia Raya is sung in the Olympic arena and you go home with medals.
