Former President Donald Trump claims he was shot in the upper part of his right ear.

The former president, speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, said in a statement on his social media site that he knew something was wrong.

He wrote: “I heard a whistle, gunshots, and immediately felt the bullet go through the skin.”

Trump said the bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.

He thanked the U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement for their quick response. He also offered his condolences to the family of the person killed at the rally and to the family of one person who was seriously injured.

We are looking at the aftermath of the shooting.
