Donald Trump's campaign schedule includes a rally in Atlanta and Kamala Harris's visit to key states next week

Vice President Kamala Harris has a packed schedule of campaign events this weekend ahead of a busy week next week, while former President Donald Trump has a rally in the South scheduled for Saturday.

Harris, who on Friday secured enough Democratic delegate votes to secure the party's nomination, has no public campaign events planned this weekend. But starting Tuesday in Philadelphia, she will begin a seven-state tour with her still-unnamed running mate.

The Philadelphia stop is scheduled for Temple University's Liacouras Center, marking Harris' first appearance in Philadelphia since launching her presidential campaign. Harris' rally is also the second time the Liacouras Center has hosted a presidential rally this summer, with Trump stopping there in June.

Harris' visit to Philadelphia is set to be her first with her running mate, whoever he may be. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is among the frontrunners for the nomination, but he has so far remained mum about his interest in the job when asked by reporters.

After her stop in Philadelphia, Harris is expected to embark on a multi-state tour, with appearances throughout the week in Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, the White House said.

Trump and his running mate, U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, have a campaign rally scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta, where Harris held a rally earlier this week. That event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

According to the Trump campaign website, the couple has another rally planned for Friday afternoon. That event is scheduled for Friday, August 9, in Bozeman, Montana.
