LAHORE (Dunya News) – Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that PTI founder Imran Khan is a political reality and political stability in the country is not possible without him.

In an informal conversation with reporters at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, Qureshi mentioned that he had been involved in politics for the past 40 years and no case had been registered against him in the last 39 years, but now in just one year, dozens of cases had been filed against him.

He condemned the action taken against Nawab Akbar Bugti, calling it oppression.

He stressed that Akbar Bugti was not anti-Pakistani and called for stopping calling each other traitors. He reiterated that calling others traitors was a practice that had been going on for the last 75 years.

Qureshi praised Mahmood Achakzai as a person with democratic thinking, saying that a person with democratic and constitutional views could not be called a traitor.

He stressed that the path to peace in Balochistan lay through negotiations.

The former foreign minister also congratulated Arshad Nadeem for winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
