North Sumatra Police Chief Provides Security to President of the Republic of Indonesia, Visits Delimas Market – Online Alert
LUBUK PAKAM, Waspada.co.id – North Sumatra Police Chief Pol Inspector General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto provided escort and security for President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo during his visit to Delimas Market in Lubuk Pakam District, Deliserdang Regency, Tuesday (10/9).
Through the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Police Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said that the security provided by the North Sumatra Police Chief to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo was a form of preparation when the head of state paid a working visit to North Sumatra.
“The surveillance and security measures were implemented in order to prevent unrest while the President of the Republic of Indonesia was carrying out his work program in North Sumatra,” he said.
For information, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, visited Delimas Market in Deliserdang Regency with the aim of assessing commodity prices and market conditions in the area.
During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by a number of important officials, including Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Acting Governor of North Sumatra Agus Fatoni.
After inspecting Delimas Market, President Jokowi continued his program to Pematang Siantar City to inaugurate the Sinaksak Toll Road.
