President Jokowi Plans to Attend PON 2024 Closing Ceremony

In addition to the activities, the committee will mobilize 1,200 people talent composed of multi-ethnic dancers from Aceh and North Sumatra, a choir, the IPDN Jatinangor marching band and local groups. There will also be fireworks, he said.
Furthermore, Mahfullah explained that the condition of the North Sumatra Sports Center Main Stadium, located in Sena Village, Deliserdang, is ready to serve as the venue for the PON 2024 closing ceremony on Friday.
The lighting function inside and outside the stadium is estimated to be 100 percent functional. This has been done at both locations, day and night, Mahfullah explained.
There are two security sectors, namely VVIP (president) and VIP (government officials). To ensure the smooth running of the event, 1,123 personnel are ready to be deployed at the venue, including 882 police officers and 241 TNI.
On the same day, traffic engineering will be carried out on the access road to the venue, starting at 13:00 WIB. As for parking, 300 ha of land is planned around the stadium.
Although it has a capacity of 25,750 people, for the closing ceremony of PON XXI/2024, the North Sumatra Main Stadium will only accommodate a maximum of 11,377 visitors, with entry opening from 15:00 WIB.
