Former President Donald Trump to Hold Campaign Rally at Mint Hill While Doug Emhoff Speaks in Wilmington

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Former President Donald Trump will return to the key swing state of North Carolina on Wednesday.

Trump will hold a rally in Mint Hill, just outside Charlotte.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. for the event at Mosack Group, 11210 Allen Station Drive. Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at 1 p.m.

On Tuesday, the Republican presidential candidate was in Georgia and spoke about his plans to attract foreign businesses to the United States.

He said he plans to offer these companies access to federal lands to restart production.

“With the vision I'm presenting today, not only will we keep our companies from leaving for foreign countries, but under my leadership, we will take jobs from other countries,” Trump said.

Trump's running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, spoke in Charlotte on Monday.

“North Carolina is one of our most important states, and I have to say that North Carolina has become like a second home to me,” Vance said. “But North Carolina is like a second home to me, and this is the state that’s going to turn this country red.”

Democrats also plan to be in North Carolina on Wednesday.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will travel to Wilmington to advocate for his wife, Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the Harris/Walz campaign, Emhoff is expected to speak about the economy and highlight Harris' campaign plan for a “brighter, more promising future.”

Emhoff is scheduled to speak at a campaign event at 12:25 p.m.

Trump campaigned in Wilmington on Saturday.
