PTPP facilitates President Joko Widodo's first landing at IKN
ILLUSTRATION. The RJ85 presidential plane which took off from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, successfully landed smoothly at the archipelago capital Nusantara Airport (IKN) on Tuesday (24/9). PT PP facilitates Jokowi's first landing in IKN.
KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), as the main contractor in the construction of the Nusantara Capital Airport (IKN) project, successfully facilitated the first landing of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo at assistance from the RJ-85 presidential aircraft at Nusantara Airport, East Kalimantan Province, Tuesday (09/24).
The arrival of the aircraft was greeted with a water salute procession which marked a historic moment in the airport's operations.
Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN and Plt. Deputy Head of OIKN Raja Juli Antoni, Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, Chief of East Kalimantan Regional Police, Inspector General Pol Drs. Nanang Avianto, Major General Pangdam VI/Mulawarman TNI Tri Budi Utomo, Penajam Nord Paser Acting Regent Muhammad Zainal Arifi, PUPR IKN Development Task Force Chairman Danis H. Sumadilaga and Yul Ari Pramuraharjo Director of Operations for PTPP infrastructure.
To date, the construction progress of the IKN Airport project has a runway length of 2,200 x 45 meters that can accommodate 3 narrow-body aircraft or 1 narrow-body aircraft and 3 helicopters. This project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and will be able to accommodate 7 narrow-body aircraft (Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 aircraft) and 3 wide-body aircraft with an airport runway length of 3000 x 60 meters.

During this first landing, President Joko Widodo expressed his gratitude for the successful first landing of the presidential plane at Nusantara Airport.

Then, the President of the Republic of Indonesia inspected the IKN Airport project and explored the runway. During the review, the President of the Republic of Indonesia expressed his appreciation for the smooth landing.
“Well, yes, very good, (the airport) is not too big, but more than enough,” Jokowi said at IKN Airport.
PTPP Infrastructure Operations Director Yul Ari Pramuraharjo is proud of the successful landing of the President of the Republic of Indonesia's plane for the first time at the IKN Airport Project.
“Thank God, the first landing of the plane of the President of the Republic of Indonesia at Nusantara Airport was successful and went perfectly. Of course, PTPP, as prime contractor, is very proud to have been able to play an important role in this historic moment. ” said Yul Ari.
PTPP is optimistic about the completion of the IKN Airport project which is scheduled for the end of 2024. He said that progress in the construction of Nusantara Airport will continue.
