Hearing in Toshakhana-II case postponed until tomorrow

RAWALPINDI: A special central judge has postponed the hearing of the Toshakhana-II case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to Monday (tomorrow).

The case was heard by Central Special Judge Shahrukh Arjumand at Adiala Prison, Rawalpindi.

The hearing was postponed at the request of the FIA ​​legal team, citing the blockage of roads in Rawalpindi due to the PTI protest call, which prevented the prosecutor and the FIA ​​legal team from 'reach the prison. PTI lawyer Intizar Hussain Panjotha opposed the demand for prosecution, accusing the government of using delaying tactics. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were present in court during the proceedings.

The PTI lawyer also filed a bail application in the case. After hearing arguments from both sides, the special judge adjourned the matter to Monday.

Meanwhile, the hearing of another case involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, regarding the 190 million reference, was also adjourned to October 2, 2024. During this hearing, Bushra Bibis' lawyer Usman Gull , cross-examined the last witness presented by the NAB.

The court adjourned the hearing to October 2 and ordered Bushra Bibis' lawyer to continue the cross-examination of the NAB witness on that date.

During the proceedings, NAB prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi accused Bushra Bibis's lawyer of trying to prolong the case by asking irrelevant questions of NAB witnesses.
