ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Sheikh Waqas Akram said PTI would continue to hold rallies for “independent judiciary” and release of party chief Imran Khan, adding that the PTI would hold its next protest in Multan on October 2.

Appearing on Dunya TV show 'TONIGHT with Samar Abbas', PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur did not return to Peshawar without attending the Pindi demonstration due to obstacles.

He said that he had come to Punjab to attend the PTI rally in Lahore after crossing all obstacles, adding that the police used rubber bullets to prevent him from attending the Pindi protest.

Waqas Akram said the PTI would hold rallies to put pressure on the government to release the PTI chief and end all false accusations against him.

“Ali Amin Gandapur never said that he would break the jail to free Imran Khan. Imran Khan made it clear that there would be no negotiation with anyone,” the PTI chief said.

“The police operation against our party leaders and workers continued throughout the night. Despite this, we successfully organized a demonstration in favor of an “independent judiciary”.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman assured us that his shoulder would not be used against justice.

“The government has not even shared the constitutional amendment package with Maulana,” he said.
