PM Modi addresses Congress president Kharge after he falls ill at J&K rally
Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge fell ill while addressing a public rally in Jasrota belt of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
After receiving medical treatment, Kharge said he would not die before Prime Minister Narendra Modi was removed from power.
Congress leaders said Kharge is now stable after a medical examination.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Kharge and inquired about his health after the Congress president fell ill during an election rally in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Kharge fell ill while paying homage to a police chief killed during an ongoing operation with terrorists in Kathua. Two other police officers were injured in the incident and one terrorist was killed.
“He was addressing a public rally in Jasrota when he felt uncomfortable and dizzy. His colleagues helped him sit on a chair,” Congress general secretary Gulam Ahmed said Mir to PTI.
He added that the Congress president is stable.
After receiving medical assistance at the rally venue, Kharge said, “I am 83 years old. I will not die so soon. I will stay alive until Prime Minister Modi is removed from power. .” “I wanted to speak but because of dizziness I sat down, please forgive me,” he said.

Later, highlighting the role of Congress prime ministers, Kharge added: “Who liberated Bangladesh? Indira Gandhi did it. The slogan “Jai Jawan Jain Kisan” was given to us. Pakistan was defeated by us. Lal Bahadur Shastri defeated him. Congress.” Kharge had visited Jasrota to address a rally seeking support for his party's candidates in the Assembly elections.
He is also expected to address another public rally in Ramnagar in Udhampur district.
Ravindra Sharma, Jammu and Kashmir Congress vice-president, said Kharge felt dizzy and was taken to a room where doctors were called for an examination. They will tell him whether or not he can attend the second rally, he said.
