Two Indonesian ministers resign to take seats in new Parliament

Jakarta (ANTARA) –
Two Indonesian ministers have submitted their resignations to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) following their election as members of the new parliament for the 2024-2029 term.

In a written statement, Special Presidential Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said President Jokowi approved the resignation of Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Areas Development and Transmigration Abdul Halim Iskandar and Minister of Hand -worker, Ida Fauziyah.

With this approval, a presidential decree officially releasing Iskandar and Fauziyah will soon be issued, Dwipayana added.

“The presidential decision is being processed by the Ministry of State Secretariat,” he said, noting that President Jokowi will reassign their duties to the respective coordinating ministers.

Dwipayana further explained that Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy will serve as Acting Minister for Villages.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto will take over the responsibilities of the Ministry of Manpower as caretaker minister.

The resignations of these two ministers follow the earlier departures of Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung earlier this month, which were also approved by the president.

Rismaharini and Anung resigned due to their candidacy in the upcoming gubernatorial elections of East Java and Jakarta, respectively, scheduled for November.

The term of President Jokowi's Indonesian cabinet will end on October 20, when President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka take office.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
