MUMBAI: PM Modi to launch phase 1 of Metro 3 (Aarey-BKC) on Saturday besides conducting the groundbreaking ceremony of Thane Ring Metro and Navi Mumbai Airport Notified Area of Influence (NAINA), Manthan K Mehta & Manoj Badgeri report. Although safety certification for Metro 3 is pending from the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner, officials are optimistic it will be achieved well before the Oct. 5 event.
Sources said the line would be operational for the public from Sunday.
“Modi will also be present at the Chief Minister Mahila Sashaktikaran Abhiyaan in Kasarvadavali that day.
