Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) led the Pancasila Holiness Day commemoration ceremony, at the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, Tuesday (01/10/2024). The President accompanied by Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Education, Culture, Research, Technology and Higher Education (Mendikbudristekdikti) Nadiem Anwar Makarim, Commander of the TNI, General Agus Subiyanto, and the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, entered the ceremony venue. at the Pancasila Sakti monument around 12:00 07:55 WIB.

The ceremony began with the Indonesian national anthem Raya, followed by a report from the ceremony commander, Kombes. Pol. I told Ketut Gede Adi Wibawa to the President as inspector of the ceremony, that the ceremony was ready to take place.

To commemorate the services rendered to fallen heroes, all participants in the ceremony observed a minute of silence, guided by the ceremony inspector.

“To commemorate the services rendered by the heroes and fighters of the nation, especially the heroes of the revolution, a minute of silence began,” the president said as inspector of the ceremony.

Next, the reading of the text of Pancasila by Chairman of the MPR Bambang Soesatyo, followed by the reading of the text of the preamble to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 by Chairman of the DPD RI La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti.

During this ceremony, the Pledge of Allegiance to Pancasila was also read and signed, guided by the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani.

The commitment reads:

By the grace of Almighty God, we who organize this ceremony are fully aware that since the proclamation of the independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 1945, many violations have actually taken place , both at home and abroad, against the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia;

that this weakening was possible due to the negligence and lack of awareness of the Indonesian people regarding activities aimed at overthrowing Pancasila as a state ideology;

that with a spirit of unity based on the noble values ​​of Pancasila ideology, the Indonesian people can further strengthen the establishment of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia;

Thus, in the presence of Almighty God to commemorate Pancasila Holiness Day, we resolve to continue to uphold and practice the values ​​of Pancasila as a source of strength to unite to fight, defend truth and justice for 'integrity. of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia.

After the reading of the pledge, the ceremony continued with the reading of prayers by the Minister of Religions, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

After the prayer was read, honors were received from the ceremony commander to the ceremony inspector. Afterwards, the ceremonial inspector left the ceremonial pulpit and then, with a select group, carried out an inspection of the Pancasila Sakti Monument and Lubang Buaya.

Previously, in an upload to his personal social media account, President Jokowi invited all components of the nation to always uphold the values ​​of Pancasila in national and state life. Apart from this, he also emphasized the importance of practicing Pancasila in daily life.

Pancasila Holiness Day reminds us that national values ​​are not just a heritage, but a mandate that must continue to be upheld. “Amidst the challenges of our times, let us reflect on the extent to which we have implemented Pancasila in our daily lives,” the president wrote on his X account @Jokowi.

Also present at this ceremony were the heads of high state institutions, ministers of the Indonesian Advanced Cabinet, the Commander of the TNI, General Agus Subiyanto, the Chief of the National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the heads of army general staff, representatives of friendly countries and the families of revolutionary heroes.
