Jokowi inaugurates 27 roads in NTT province, from badly damaged to smooth

NTT, investor.id – President Joko Widodo inaugurated on Thursday, October 1, 2024 the construction and repair of 27 roads with a length of 217 kilometers in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province. The construction and repair of roads is part of the Presidential Instruction for Regional Roads (IJD) which costs IDR 737 billion.

“Roads are a very important infrastructure for society for the mobility of goods, the mobility of people and to speed up logistics deliveries. “In NTT Province, in 2023, 27 roads with a length of 217 km will be constructed and repaired, managed by the Presidential Instruction of Regional Roads with a budget of IDR 737 billion,” President Jokowi said in his statement Tuesday (1/10/2024).

President Jokowi highlighted the importance of road infrastructure to increase the mobility of goods and people and speed up logistics deliveries. It is hoped that improving road infrastructure can accelerate community economic activity and improve the quality of life of residents.

According to him, roads that were previously badly damaged are now smooth, without potholes, facilitating access and mobility for local residents.

“We hope that with a budget of this size, all the roads in East Nusa Tenggara province can be repaired and that in conditions like we see on this road, they will be smooth, there will be no potholes, people will be able to take advantage of them,” the president said. Jokowi.

Keisya, a resident of Naioni, NTT, who benefited from the construction of this road, expressed gratitude for the improved infrastructure in their area. He also expressed his joy at the great changes that have come after the road was repaired.

“The condition of the road before its renovation was very worrying, but thank God we are grateful because now it is smooth thanks to Pak Jokowi who is extraordinarily the best,” said Keisya.
