580 members of the DPR RI officially inaugurated, the youngest is 23 years old DW 01.10.2024
A total of 580 DPR members elected for the 2024-2029 period were officially sworn in today. The majority is made up of old faces, these hundreds of legislators will exercise legislative, control and budgetary functions.
The inauguration took place today at the Plenary Hall of the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (01/10/2024). The inauguration was also attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and President-elect Prabowo Subianto as well as cabinet ministers.
DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar read the presidential decree regarding the inauguration of DPR membership for the period 2024-2029. Then, 580 people's representatives took oath/pledge as members of the DPR, guided by Chief Justice (MA) Muhammad Syarifuddin.
Here is the oath/promise of DPR members for the 2024-2029 term:
That I will fulfill my obligations as a member of the People's Representative Council as best as possible and fairly, in accordance with the statutory regulations, guided by Pancasila and the Indonesian Constitution of 1945. That I will work earnestly to fulfill my obligations. , with the aim of maintaining democratic life and prioritizing the interests of the nation and the State over the interests of individuals, individuals and groups. That I will fight for the aspirations of the people and regions I represent to realize national goals in the interest of the nation and the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia.
After that, the DPR members signed the minutes of the oath/promise, which was symbolically carried out by five members of the Council. Then, there was the submission of the DPR memorandum by the management of the DPR for the period 2019-2024 to the acting management of the DPR and the signing of the handover report.
DPR members by age:
A. The youngest are 3 people (age as of October 1, 2024), namely:
1. Annisa MA Mahesa, Gerindra party, Banten II constituency, age 23 years 2 months 15 days
2. Muhammad Rohid, Gerindra Party, Riau II constituency, age 24 years 10 months 14 days
3. Cindy Monica Salsabila Setiawan, NasDem Party, West Sumatra II electoral district, age 24 years 10 months 14 days.
b. The 3 oldest people (age as of October 1, 2024), namely:
1. Zulfikar Achmad, Democratic Party, Jambi electoral district, 78 years, 4 months and 15 days
2. Guntur Sasono, Democratic Party for East Java VIII Constituency, age 78 years 2 months 30 days
3. Kahar Muzakir, Golkar Party, South Sumatra I electoral district, age 77 years 9 months 21 days.
Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah admitted that he had heard the names of those who would become the leaders of the DPR RI 2024-2029. PDIP DPP Chairman Puan Maharani is reportedly returning as DPR Chairman.
