Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Elizabeth II suffered from a “form of bone cancer.” His account is the first public indication from a former government official of the cause of death of one of the longest-reigning monarchs.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson claimed in his forthcoming memoir that Queen Elizabeth II suffered from bone cancer before she died in September 2022. In doing so, he controversially broke royal protocol in his new book which is scheduled to be released on October 10. .

According to a report published by CNNJohnson broke royal protocol, if his account of Elizabeth II's final days is accurate. For a long time, there has been much speculation about his death, while there has been no comment from the royal family on the matter.

THE CNN said that Buckingham Palace had a policy of not commenting on books published about the royal family and, as such, had neither confirmed nor denied these claims.

The former prime minister, who resigned two days before the royal's death in Balmoral, Scotland, said she was suffering from a form of bone cancer. His account is the first public indication from a former government official of the cause of his death.

THE Daily Mail The newspaper published extracts from the book, one of which gives details of his illness. I had known for a year or more that she suffered from a form of bone cancer, and her doctors feared that at any moment she could experience a precipitous decline, he writes in the excerpt.

Elizabeth II's cause of death was listed as old age on her death certificate. Following her death two years ago, in an announcement on social media, the royal family said the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

Although Johnson is not the first Prime Minister to recall his interactions with the late monarch during his time in office, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron have all done so, but generally speaking his is, by far, the more striking.

On leaving his post as Prime Minister, Johnson made the customary visit to the royal residence at Balmoral. On his arrival, he said he was greeted by the Queen's private secretary, who told him his condition had deteriorated significantly over the summer. Later, he met the monarch in her living room.

She appeared pale and more stooped, and she had dark bruises on her hands and wrists, likely from drips or injections, the Daily Mail excerpt cited. But her mind, as Edward had also said, was completely unimpaired by her illness, and from time to time during our conversation she still showed that great white smile in her sudden beauty which put one in a good mood. .

Elizabeth II never shared or discussed her private health and medical matters with the public. But Catherine, Princess of Wales, recently revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was on the road to recovery. But even then, the family did not reveal the specific form of the cancer.

Royal household aides said CNN that members of the royal family have the same right to medical confidentiality as anyone else. But they said Catherine bucked the trend in a bid to be more open and raise awareness about cancer.
