Bushra, Imran get VIP facilities in jail: Azma Bokhari

LAHORE, Oct 1 (APP): Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that creating sensational news and staying in the headlines through advertising gimmicks was a favorite pastime of Bushra Bibi.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz does not care what Bushra Bibi eats, whether it is eggs, chicken or pulao soup etc. Maryam Nawaz ignores the cell that has been allocated to Bushra Bibi in Adiala jail. Azma Bukhari expressed these views in response to a statement by lawyer Saif on Tuesday.

Bokhari said Bushra Bibi had been provided with Class B facilities in prison. “The facilities available to the couple in prison are beyond the imagination of the common man. Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan are serving their jail term in a VIP manner,” she added.

She said that Maryam Nawaz had suffered many hardships during the Imran Khan government, while Bushra Bibi was safe from all of them. “The conditions in which Maryam Nawaz was held in Kot Lakhpat jail and the NAB torture cell were all due to the will of Bushra Bibis,” she added.

She said Maryam Nawaz endured the ordeals of prison but never used the gender card. “Bushra Bibi is imprisoned for crimes linked to the theft of Toshakhana gifts and the embezzlement of 190 million. PTI should refrain from using Maryam Nawaz’s name to promote its political agenda with foul language,” she argued.
