Pakistan's white-ball captain Babar Azam announced his decision to step down as captain of the national team across all formats late on the night of Tuesday, October 1.

He had informed the PCB of the decision last month, according to his statement on social media.

Babar having stepped down as captain after leading the national team in 148 matches and winning 84 matches during this period, he is just behind the legendary Imran Khan in the list of most matches won as a captain.
