China, Russia to expand cooperation (Xi)
President Xi Jinping said Wednesday he is ready to work with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to continue to expand all-round practical cooperation.
Xi made the remarks in a congratulatory message sent to Putin on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Xi said China and Russia are each other's biggest neighbors and have continuously improved the quality of bilateral relations on the basis of the fundamental interests of the two countries and two peoples while relying on the historical experience since the establishment of relations in 1949.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Russia relations and is willing to work with Putin to take advantage of the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations. diplomatic efforts to firmly steer bilateral relations in the right direction.
Putin, for his part, said that relations between Russia and China have currently reached their highest level in history and expressed confidence that the two sides will fully implement the consensus reached during his meetings with Xi.
