Jokowi asks Prabowo to continue 10 kg rice assistance program

WEST SUMBA, investor.id – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said he would request that the 10 kilogram (kg) rice assistance program be continued by President-elect Prabowo Subianto. This program is expected to end in December 2024.

This was conveyed by President Jokowi during his visit to the Bulog Kampung Baru Warehouse, West Sumba Regency, Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The visit was aimed at ensuring that the distribution of the rice assistance to the community was going well.

“This is what was received in October, yes, it will be accepted again in December,” President Jokowi said.

The Head of State also invited citizens to submit suggestions to the new government so that this program can continue. The President promised to convey the aspirations of the people to the elected presidential candidate.

“When the new government comes, I will whisper it to Pak Prabowo, but the suggestions come from all of you, you know,” President Jokowi said.

The rice aid program has been running since January 2024 and will continue until next December. The President said the rice distribution would continue periodically, with the next distribution scheduled for December.

On the other hand, President Jokowi also directly asked residents about the quality of the rice they received and wanted to ensure that the rice distributed was of good quality.

“Have you all received the 10 kilos?” Is the rice good? Are there any complaints that the rice is black? Is rice yellow? » asked the President, to which the residents immediately responded simultaneously by affirming that the rice received was in good condition.
