To reporters, after inspecting the rice stocks at the Waikabubak Bulog warehouse, President Joko Widodo bluntly admitted that his presence in West Sumba was intended to see the progress of the construction of the Operatie Kamer (OK) building.
The OK building itself is a special room that provides quality services to patients before, during and immediately after surgery.
Additionally, Waikabubak Regional Hospital is among the Cancer, Heart, Stroke and Uronephrology (KJSU) Intermediate Referral Hospitals in Indonesia.
“Previously, we checked the construction of the building because we also provided assistance to West Sumba Hospital for the construction of the building. In December, the building could be completed,” he said.

Nevertheless, President Joko Widodo said the most important thing was that the medical equipment arrived soon.
“Later, CT Scan and other medical equipment will come in,” he said.
Regarding national rice stocks, President Joko Widodo said rice stocks were safe so far.
“There is no stock and supply problem. We are trying to continue this rice food aid until December to reduce rice prices,” he further stressed. ***
