Boris Johnson has claimed a listening device was found in his bathroom after a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In his new book, Johnson claims the listening device was found in his bathroom when he was foreign secretary.
Mr Johnson claimed his security team made the discovery while sweeping the toilets after the Israeli prime minister used them during a meeting in 2017.
In his memoir, titled “Unleashed,” the former conservative lawmaker said Mr Netanyahu excused himself during discussions in his former office to use the toilet, described as “a secret annex… a bit like the gentlemen in a chic London club. “.

Mr Johnson did not confirm whether the British government had confronted Israel over the alleged listening device. It comes after the former prime minister claimed a secret plot was hatched to invade Holland and seize Covid vaccines.
