Palace respects public assessment of Jokowi's 10 years of performance

Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said President Joko Widodo respects the public's assessment of his 10-year rule.

Ari conveyed this regarding public assessments as well as the results of public assessments from investigative institutions regarding the 10 years of President Jokowi's administration.

“The President truly respects and appreciates the public's various ratings, ratings and evaluations regarding the 10 years of his administration, including those recently released by survey institutes,” Ari said in a short message in Jakarta today.

One of the results of a 10-year survey of the Jokowi administration was released by the Indonesian Political Indicators Agency, which showed that the level of satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance remained high at 75 percent.

According to Ari, the President expressed gratitude for the support provided by the community during his 10 years of administration, and apologized if there were still deficiencies and limitations in services to the community.

He said that towards the end of his administration, the President would continue to visit communities in various regions of the country, border areas as well as areas that had never been visited by the President of the Republic of Indonesia after the independence.

The President also continues to make working visits to ensure that priority national programs aimed at the interests of society work well and fully, so that they can have a significant impact on society throughout Indonesia.

“When he meets directly with the community, the President always expresses his thanks and also his apologies. Why directly to the grassroots community? Because it is only with the support of all elements of society, especially those of “Basically, that the President and the government have been able to face many difficult challenges during the last 10 years of his rule,” he explained.

Ari also said that the level of satisfaction which remains high, namely 75 percent, recorded by the survey institutions has given energy to the president to ensure the smooth running of the government transition process.

On the other hand, deficiencies in the performance of several areas of government will become a record of evaluation so that they can be corrected by the next government.

“Because the spirit of the next government led by the President-elect, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, is sustainability. So, the President believes that the gaps and limitations will be a concern and priority for the next government,” he said. -he declared.

Previously, the Political Indicators survey institute noted that around 75 percent of Indonesians were satisfied with President Joko Widodo's performance at the end of his term. Jokowi's approval rating fell from the July 2024 survey which reached 82%.

Based on the political indicators survey, the public's tendency to view the eradication of corruption as bad tends to increase, from 34% to 37.7%. Then, those who considered it good to eradicate corruption went from 29.4% to 26%.

The indicator survey was conducted from September 22 to 29, 2024, among respondents aged 17 or older, or married at the time of the survey.

Sampling was carried out using the multistage random sampling method. The base sample for this survey was 1,200 people, with oversamples in the 11 largest provinces. The total sample was 3,540 respondents with a margin of error (MoE) of approximately +2.3% at the 95% confidence level.

Responding to the survey, Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, said the survey results, which were still at 75%, were proof of public trust .

“This result reflects the public's support and trust in President Jokowi's leadership and the policies that have been implemented so far,” Yusuf said in a written message yesterday.

Yusuf appreciates and appreciates the results of the political indicators survey which show that the level of public satisfaction with President Joko Widodo's performance is still very high.
