Elon Musk Praises Trump's 'Courage Under Fire' During Emotional Butlers Rally

Tech titan Elon Musk made his first-ever appearance at a Republican rally, lending fiery support to former President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign.

The event, held in Butler, Pennsylvania, was charged with emotion after the attempted assassination of Trump at the same location in July by 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthews Crooks.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, took the stage to praise Trump's resilience. “He is a man who has COURAGE UNDER FIRE!” he told the roaring crowd, his voice echoing through the packed room.

The billionaire first went public with his support for Trump on July 13, immediately after the first assassination attempt against the Republican candidate.

Musk, known for his outspokenness and controversial social media presence, did not mince his words when addressing rally attendees. “This is the most important election,” he said.

He then made a series of controversial and false claims, declaring without evidence: “They want to take your guns away. They want to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your ability to hold fair elections.

Musk's presence at the rally marks a significant shift in his political engagement. Previously promised neutrality, he has now fully endorsed Trump's candidacy for president.

The political move follows his recent criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris and the current Biden administration, signaling a growing divide between Musk and the Democratic Party.

Musk said he previously voted for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as well as Joe Biden. However, in recent years, Musk's criticism of the current administration has intensified, with the tycoon expressing concerns about government policies while espousing right-wing beliefs.

Elon Musk's support for Trump appears rooted in concerns about government excesses and its impact on innovation. On X, the social media platform he owns, Musk posted: “Unless something is done about America's bureaucratic suffocation, humanity will never reach the stars.”

He emphasized his belief that Trump's re-election is crucial to preventing “the continued expansion of oppressive big government, making progress impossible.”
