Donald Trump rally in Juneau, Wisconsin: how to watch

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech at a campaign rally in Juneau, Wisconsin, this afternoon — his fourth campaign appearance in the battleground state in nine days.

The campaign rally comes after Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to finish the speech that was cut short following the July 13 assassination attempt on his life at the Butler Farm Show.

When and where to watch

With less than a month until Election Day, the Republican candidate is expected to hold an afternoon rally at the Dodge County Airport, about an hour northeast of Milwaukee.

Venue gates will open at 10:00 a.m. CST and the rally will begin at 2:00 p.m. CST.

The rally will be broadcast live on C-SPAN.

Campaigning in Wisconsin

Trump and his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, campaigned in the state in hopes of securing its 10 electoral college votes on November 5.

Earlier this month, the former president campaigned in Milwaukee and Waunakee. Last Saturday, he campaigned in Prairie du Chien.

In July, just days after the first assassination attempt, Trump accepted the Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum.

On Thursday, Harris held a rally in Ripon, Wisconsin, with former Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican who is one of Trump's most vocal critics.

During her speech, Cheney took a dig at the former president while talking about her status as a prominent conservative leader for decades, telling supporters, “I was a Republican before Donald Trump even started tanning.”

On Truth Social, his social media platform, later in the day, Trump responded, writing that Cheney is “pathetic” and has a “low IQ.”

Trump and Harris are in a tight race in the battleground state of Wisconsin, with most overall polls showing a slight advantage for Harris. Hill's overall poll shows Harris leading Trump by 1.3 percentage points, or 49.4 to 48.1 percent. FiveThirtyEight gives Harris a 1.6 point lead, 48.4 to Trump's 46.8 percent, while the New York Times shows a 2 point advantage, 50 to 48 percent for Harris.

Wisconsin electoral history

In 2020, President Joe Biden narrowly won Wisconsin, pitting it against Trump, who won the state in 2016 when he ran against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

However, Trump won overwhelmingly in Dodge County, where Juneau is located, receiving nearly 65 percent of the vote, or more than 31,000 voters. Biden received nearly half the number of votes, garnering just over 16,000 votes in the county.

The state had already voted twice for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and for John Kerry in 2004.

Wisconsin is considered one of a handful of battleground states, like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Nevada, that could influence an extraordinarily close election.
