Signal from Jokowi regarding the IKN presidential decree being signed by the new president
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) takes stock of the fate of the presidential decree (keppres) relating to the transfer of the capital to the Capital of the Archipelago (IKN). It is said that the presidential decree could be signed by President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Jokowi also emphasized that the development of the ecosystem in IKN was also an element taken into account when signing the presidential decree. He said all facilities must also be prepared.
“I repeat, moving the capital is not just a physical issue. But building the ecosystem is what is needed. And the ecosystem must be ready, so that if we move, the hospital be ready because it is necessary, education for our children also “are ready, school means that it is also necessary, from kindergarten, from primary school, from middle school, from high school, from vocational school until university,” Jokowi said.

Jokowi said IKN's willingness was a consideration for signing the presidential decree. Jokowi stressed that the movement of capital must be calculated carefully.

Jokowi stressed that the preparation mentioned did not only concern buildings, but also electricity, furniture and human resources. Jokowi then quipped that moving was complicated, let alone moving from the capital.
