Erdoan urges Muslim countries to sanction Israel
ISTANBUL
President Recep Tayyip Erdoan has urged Muslim-majority countries to implement trade measures against Israel amid its ongoing military actions in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon.

The president also reiterated Trkiye's support for the Palestinians, pledging continued solidarity.
“We send our sincere greetings to the heroic sons of Palestine,” he said.
“We are the voice of the Palestinian people on all international platforms. Wherever we are on day one, we remain firmly in the same place today.”
Erdoan criticized Western powers, accusing them of inaction.
“We were the country that reacted most strongly after the Israeli attacks on Lebanon,” he added. [because] Israel's objective is clear,” he said.
“Western powers know their true intentions, but because of their timidity in the face of the Holocaust, they remain silent in the face of the Holocaust. [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his murderous gang.”
Erdoan also highlighted what he sees as hypocrisy in their response to the pro-Palestinian protests.

He also expressed concern about the regional expansion of the conflict, accusing the Israeli government of trying to broaden the scope of the war.
