President Joko Jokowi Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo bid farewell to staff and journalists on Thursday (10/10) at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
On this occasion, the President and the First Lady participated in group photo sessions with staff members, health workers, security officers and journalists. President Jokowi and Mother Iriana expressed her gratitude to all the staff who worked with them during President Jokowis' administration.
Captain Handi Sabush, a member of the Presidential Security Staff (Paspampres), expressed his gratitude to the President. “My Paspampres staff colleagues and I express our gratitude [to the President]. We thank you for your efforts and wish you all the best for your end of term. May you and your family always be healthy, he said.
Meanwhile, Kompas TV journalist Frisca Clarissa and Tirto.id journalist Andrian Pratama Taher also expressed joy for their experience as journalists under President Jokowis' administration.
Suherman, a gardener who has worked at the palace for 20 years, and Claudio, a waiter who served the president and first lady for five years, said they were proud to participate in a group photo session with President Jokowi, and that the President and First Lady have always been kind to them.
