Two Jokowi-Prabowo meetings before the change of power

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with the president-elect Prabowo Subianto. The two men met twice before the change of power.
The first meeting took place in Plataran, Jakarta, on Tuesday evening (10/8/2024). Jokowi also uploaded a photo of the dinner with Prabowo on his social media.
Jokowi said the meeting lasted more than two hours. During the meeting, Jokowi was seen wearing a white shirt and black pants, while Prabowo wore a beige suit.

It appears that the table is set with cutlery and several types of drinks. The two appeared to be chatting intimately.
“Relaxed discussion over dinner with President-elect Mr. @prabowo. Didn't seem to last more than two hours,” he said.
Prabowo also uploaded the dinner moment on his Instagram account. On this occasion, Prabowo also admitted to exchanging ideas with Jokowi.
Prabowo also uploaded several photos related to the dinner with Jokowi. Prabowo was seen wearing an all-beige safari shirt. Meanwhile, Jokowi wore a white shirt with black pants.
The two were seen eating while having a serious discussion. Prabowo also appeared to greet Jokowi directly when he arrived at the dinner venue.
Then Prabowo explained the event. He admitted to having dinner while chatting with Jokowi.
“Dinner and discussion with President @jokowi,” he said.
Prabowo admitted to exchanging ideas with Jokowi regarding state issues. “We exchanged ideas regarding the interests of the state, the nation and the Indonesian people,” he added.
Second meeting
The second meeting took place at Jokowi's residence in Solo on Sunday (10/13/2024). Vice President-elect and Jokowi's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming, picked Prabowo up at the airport.
The two then boarded the same car to Jokowi's residence. Prabowo was greeted by the First Lady, Iriana Jokowi, upon his arrival at Jokowi's residence.
Jokowi uploaded their moments together via his Instagram account. Jokowi said the activity was a weekend discussion.
From the uploaded photo, Prabowo appears to be wearing brown batik, while Jokowi and Gibran are wearing white shirts. Gerindra Party daily chairman Sufmi Dasco was also seen accompanying Prabowo. Dasco wears brown batik.

Shortly after Jokowi uploaded a photo of eating together, Prabowo also uploaded it. Prabowo said that during the meeting, they had a light conversation while having lunch together.
Prabowo said the lunch with Jokowi was full of intimacy.

The inauguration of Prabowo and Gibran as president and vice president will take place on October 20, 2024. The inauguration will take place in Jakarta.
