Today, the MPR leadership handed over an invitation to the presidential inauguration to Prabowo and Jokowi
Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), said his party has made various preparations for the inauguration of the president and vice president for the period 2024-2029.
As part of a series of preparations, today, Monday (10/14/2024), the MPR leadership will make official visits to a number of places, to convey invitations.
Muzani said MPR leaders would visit the Defense Ministry office to deliver a letter of invitation to Prabowo Subianto as president-elect.
In the afternoon, MPR leaders will meet with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
“On Monday, MPR leaders will meet with President Joko Widodo to officially convey an invitation, to invite the President of the Republic of Indonesia to attend the inauguration ceremony and the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia on the 20th October,” he said. After that, in the afternoon, Muzani and the MPR vice presidents met with Maruf Amin, vice president, and in the evening, they met with Gibran Rakabuming Raka, vice president-elect.
Furthermore, Muzani said the leadership transition process from Jokowi to Prabowo was going smoothly. An indicator is that Jokowi included various Prabowo-Gibran work programs in the APBN 2025.
As is known, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be sworn in as President and Vice President for the period 2024-2029, Sunday (10/20/2024), at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
