No PTI leader yet to meet Imran Khan despite permission obtained

Although they had time to meet their party founder from 8 a.m., no Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, including lawyer Gohar, arrived at the jail of Adiala to meet Imran Khan.

PTI leaders have been allowed to meet Imran Khan, but none of the approved members have turned up so far.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, among others, was expected at the jail for the visit.

According to jail officials, Imran Khan was informed about the arrangements of the meeting as early as 6 am today.

Meanwhile, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said Adiala authorities had denied permission to Salman Akram Raja, another party leader, to meet Imran Khan.

Only lawyers Gohar, Ali Zafar and Asad Qaiser were allowed to attend the meeting.

Sheikh Waqas also revealed that Barrister Gohar had decided not to proceed with the visit until all designated persons were cleared. Currently, he is outside the prison alongside Sahibzada Hamid Raza.

Yesterday, senior PTI leader Barrister Ali Zafar confirmed that the PTI delegation had received permission to meet party founder Imran Khan at 8am today.

A team of five PTI leaders will meet the party's founder. The delegation includes lawyers Ali Zafar, Gohar, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Asad Qaiser and Salman Akram Raja.

Me Ali Zafar declared that a formal request had been sent to the government for this meeting. “We will leave in the morning and we will do whatever Khan Sahib orders us,” he added.
