Trump seethes as Mark Cuban campaigns for Harris

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday denounced fellow billionaire Mark Cuban, who vigorously campaigned for his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Mark Cuban is a loser,” Trump wrote in a Saturday Truth Social article. “He stopped answering his calls when he was in the White House, and he went rogue. A weak, pathetic 'bully,' he has no business. Really poor clubhead speed, a total non-athlete!”

Trump's insults come days after Cuban mocked the Republican presidential candidate's tariff proposals at a Harris campaign rally.

“Let me just tell you, this man understands so little about tariffs that he thinks China pays them,” Cuban said of Trump at a rally in Harris, Wisconsin, on Thursday.

Trump has proposed a universal 20% tariff on all imports and an even higher rate of 60% for Chinese imports. The plan has been criticized by economists, who point out that U.S. importers and consumers would ultimately have to bear the cost of such a harsh approach.

The animosity between two billionaires is a sharp turnaround from 2015, when Cuban hailed Trump as “the best thing to happen to politics in a long time” in an interview on “Fox & Friends.”

Trump in turn thanked him for his kind words.

Cuban ended up supporting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. And in the years since, his once-friendly relationship with Trump has only grown frostier.

During this election cycle, Cuban has become a regular surrogate for the Harris campaign as the vice president works to portray herself as a pro-growth capitalist.

The former “Shark Tank” host could aim for a government position of his own, for example by repeatedly floating the idea of ​​replacing Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler.

Meanwhile, Trump has enlisted Elon Musk as his own megabillionaire campaign surrogate, fueling another rivalry with Cuba.
