President Xi orders PLA rocket forces to strengthen deterrence and combat capabilities

Beijing [China]October 20 (ANI): Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected a brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's Rocket Force where he ordered the troops to strengthen their deterrence and combat capabilities, the Global Times reported.
Xi also urged the strategic missile troops to carry out the tasks assigned to them by the Party and the people.
The brigade is a strategic troop that draws on a 50-year history. Xi inspected the brigade's training ground and analyzed the performance of the brigade's newly introduced weapons.
Xi, during his visit, asked the brigade to make best use of combat weapons, the Global Times reported.
During his speech, Xi stressed the importance of maintaining absolute leadership of the Party.
Xi asked the brigade to step up troop training and combat readiness to ensure the country's strategy and national interest, the Global Times reported.
The Chinese president stressed the need to strengthen targeted training with new equipment, new skills and new combat methods, improve support and systematically strengthen combat capabilities.
Recently, Taiwan has reported Chinese military activities near its territory. On October 19, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said that 10 Chinese military aircraft and six military ships had been detected. In response to Chinese military activity, Taiwan has dispatched aircraft and warships and deployed coastal missile systems to monitor the activities of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). (ANI)
