All Secretaries of the Government of India have been invited to attend the monitoring group meeting in the Prime Minister's Office every month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set up a monitoring group under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan to review the implementation of the schemes announced by the Prime Minister and in the Union Budget, subordinate legislation and other infrastructure projects.

HT learns that the first meeting of the newly formed monitoring group was held at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on October 18 with all Secretaries of the Government of India, including the Chairman of the Railway Board, participating in the meeting in hybrid mode. The monitoring group headed by the three-time chief minister of Madhya Pradesh is expected to meet every month at the southern block prime minister's office to review and push all government projects to materialize.

According to officials present at the meeting, PM Modi has delegated powers to Chouhan to monitor the progress of projects announced since the formation of the first NDA government under his leadership in 2014.
