Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the name of his group chat with college friends in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal.

The cat was named Roommates in a nod to the bond he still shares with his college friends despite all these years.

However, what came as a surprise was that in an earlier interaction, Cook was unaware of the feature allowing users to name group chats in iMessage.

When asked what the best name for a group chat was, Cook was taken aback, admitted he didn't name them, and even acted genuinely surprised, giving a rare insight into the disconnect that can sometimes arise between prominent technology leaders and the intricacies of everyday user experience, sometimes with their own products.

He revealed to the interviewer in the later interaction that he then called his chat group with his college friends as roommates.

As for the company's success mantra, Cook says the key for us is focus, adding that sometimes it's important to say no to good ideas to make room for good ones.
