SOLO, KOMPAS.com – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) implemented Friday prayer Of Sheikh Zayed Mosque Solo, Central Java, after retirement.

Jokowi arrived at the mosque with his son, Kaesang Pangarepon Friday (10/25/2024) afternoon.

Jokowi wore a white koko shirt and sarong, with a black skullcap, while Kaesang wore a black shirt.

After Friday prayers, the former mayor of Solo greeted the residents and discussed with the management of the mosque the various activities carried out.

“Earlier, I asked about the mosque's activities. Then we conveyed (the agenda) of upcoming events,” said Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque operations director Munajat, who accompanied Jokowi.

Munajat also added that Jokowi asked about the visit of the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, which took place some time ago.

“I asked the Minister of Tolerance to come here for a few hours, look for everywhere to go. I told him to come here for 30 minutes, continue planting trees and be amazed by the trees and the fruit here,” he explained.

Jokowi's admiration for mosque activities

During the conversation, Jokowi expressed his admiration for the mosque's activities and the mosque's use of social media.
