President Erdogan calls security meeting after Ankara attack
Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan convened a high-level security meeting here regarding the terrorist attack targeting the aerospace and defense company TUSAS.
The security meeting was held at Atatürk Airport upon Erdogan's return from the 16th BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia, and was attended by Turkish Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior and Defense, the head of the intelligence agency, the chief of staff and others. senior officials, according to the report.

On Wednesday, at least five people were killed and 22 others injured in an attack on the TUSAS production plant in Ankara, according to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. Two attackers, identified as members of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), were also killed in the assault, Xinhua news agency reported, citing state broadcaster TRT.
Following the attack, Turkey increased its security measures, notably at airports, and the Turkish army, in retaliation, struck 29 PKK targets in Iraq and 18 in Syria.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, has been rebelling against the Turkish government for more than three decades.
