President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to lose to all his main political rivals if elections are held this Sunday, according to the latest newspaper. Trkiyes Pulse Survey conducted by Metropoll Research in October 2024.

In a hypothetical clash between Erdogan and Yavas, the latter is expected to win with 53.8% of the vote, while Erdogan trails behind with 28.7%.

Likewise, in a fight against Ekrem Imamoglu, Erdogan would only obtain 30.6% of the vote, compared to 49% for Imamoglu. Facing CHP Ozgur Ozel, Erdogan is expected to lose 45.2% to 31.2%.

Party support reflects close race

In terms of party support, the poll found that if elections were held this Sunday, the CHP would get 32.1% of the vote, while the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) would lag slightly behind with 31%. .

Smaller parties, including the DEM party with 10.6% and the MHP with 6.3%, are also considered in this closely watched race.

Public expectations regarding election results

The survey also found that 37.3 percent of respondents believe the CHP will win the upcoming elections, while 32.3 percent believe the AKP party will emerge victorious.

A significant 17.7% of respondents did not provide a response.
