Govt tries to break Khan's spirit, but fails, says PTI Sheikh

The Sindh chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has strongly condemned the adoption of the 26th constitutional amendment which it said was the result of “kidnapping for voting purposes, harassment and coercion against MPs and their families”.

Addressing a press conference at Insaf House on Friday, PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh expressed deep concern over party founder Imran Khan, accusing the government of “inhumane treatment” in jail.

He further said that Khan, a prominent leader of the Islamic world and former prime minister, was denied access to basic facilities such as electricity, newspapers, books and food, in prison, violating thus his rights as a prisoner.

“It is an attempt to break Khan's spirit, but he remains resilient,” Sheikh said at the press conference where he was flanked by PTI Sindh General Secretary's lawyer Ali Palh, General Secretary from Karachi, Arsalan Khalid, Dr Masroor Siyal, Jamal Siddique and others. senior party officials.

He praised Khan for being a steadfast leader who would not surrender in the face of oppression. “If we are pushed, we will show up with no way of turning back; our families will hold our funeral prayers in absentia if necessary,” he said, warning the government.

Sheikh urged PTI supporters to unite against these injustices, calling for a joint protest against political oppression across the country.
