Bisnis.comJAKARTA — National Mandate Party (PAN) said his team would gladly accommodate whenever 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) anchored his political career in the party led by Zulkifli Hasan.
PAN declared that this party is an open party. Therefore, if Jokowi wishes to join, his party will immediately roll out the “blue carpet” for the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia.
“If he gives the PAN the opportunity to be his anchor, we will of course roll out the blue carpet for him and welcome his career within the National Mandate Party,” said the general vice-president of the PAN, Eddy Soeparno. Business by short message, Tuesday (10/12/2024) evening.
Eddy continued, the father of Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has long been considered part of the PAN family.
“We always consider Pak Jokowi as part of the big PAN family. “Since the beginning, he has been part of the big PAN family,” he said.
Furthermore, the PAN politician who is also Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian MPR emphasized that PAN is always open to accepting proud and national figures.
Not only that, he added, the PAN is also open to ordinary citizens who have great enthusiasm to participate in the advancement of the nation.

Not recognized by the PDIP
Previously, Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) (Sekjen) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his family, including Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution, were no longer part of the party.
Hasto made this statement during a press conference at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Wednesday (04/12/2024).
“I reiterate that Pak Jokowi and his family are no longer part of the PDI Perjuangan,” explained Hasto.
Hasto said the decision was made because the political practices of Jokowi and his family were not deemed to be in line with the ideals of the party fought for since the Bung Karno era.
